Andy, are you sure about not knowing full the power of A/B testing? That is hard to believe.

The inner scientist within some of us developers/marketers jumped for joy when this technology came out.

Unless you want to pay for an endless supply of focus groups you better start A/B and multivariate testing now.

BTW, you ABC interview was well done.

I think usability continues to be a hard thing to "sell" in a corporate environment, but I think that you can at least implement some level of testing with staff.

I'm always tweaking my web sites in order to increase conversions. Sometimes it's tough to get accurate data from smaller sites though.

A/B Testing is where the value of your site goes beyond just a $ value. You generate cash, but your also educating your customer/user in often times a much faster process. Therefore bringing each user a higher conversion.

Nevermind, it's all about the the ROI. ;)
  • Tom · 1 year ago
This book looks like just what I am looking for as I try to generate more income out of my sites. I would love a copy.

The biggest problem with Website Optimzer is the time required to complete most tests. Unless you have a ton of traffic to the test page, limit the test to A/B (not multivariate), or are testing dramatically different versions, Website Optimizer takes far to long to form an opinion and therefore is not that practical.
